Terms of Service
Last Updated: April 1, 2026
Welcome to Framer Development Services. We believe in radical transparency. We wrote these terms in simple English to ensure we are on the same page before we start building your project.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website (framerdevelopment.services) or hiring our team for a project, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
These terms apply to all clients, visitors, and users of our website. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
2. Our Services
Framer Development Services is a specialized web development agency. We provide the following core services:
Translating Figma UI/UX designs into fully functional Framer websites.
Developing custom React overrides and components within the Framer ecosystem.
Architecting Framer Content Management Systems (CMS).
Website performance and technical SEO optimization.
We do not provide hosting. All websites built by us will be hosted on Framer's servers, and you are responsible for paying your own monthly or annual Framer workspace subscription.
3. Client Responsibilities
To ensure we deliver your project fast and flawlessly, we rely on you. As a client, you agree to:
Provide finalized, approved Figma files (if we are strictly doing development).
Provide all written copy, images, and brand assets required for the build.
Respond to our feedback requests and review links within a timely manner (usually 48 hours) to prevent project delays.
If a project is delayed by more than 14 days due to a lack of communication or missing assets from the client, we reserve the right to pause the project and reschedule it based on our team's availability.
4. Payment & Fees
We do not believe in surprise invoices. All project costs will be clearly outlined in your customized proposal before work begins.
Fixed-Price Projects: We require a 50% upfront deposit to secure your spot in our development queue. The remaining 50% is due upon project completion, before the final website is transferred to your Framer account.
Retainers: Monthly maintenance or dedicated developer retainers are billed at the beginning of each billing cycle.
Refunds: Because web development is a custom labor service, the 50% upfront deposit is non-refundable once development work has officially commenced.
5. Revisions & Scope Creep
We want you to love your website, but we also have to protect our developers' time.
Standard fixed-price projects include two (2) rounds of minor revisions after the initial development is completed. A "minor revision" includes tweaking spacing, changing text, or swapping images.
Scope Creep: If you request entirely new pages, new complex animations, or decide to drastically change the core design after development has started, this is considered a change in scope. We will happily accommodate these requests, but they will be billed at our standard hourly rate or quoted as a separate add-on.
6. Intellectual Property (Ownership)
Who owns the code and design? It's simple:
Upon final payment, all rights, intellectual property, and ownership of the final Framer website are transferred entirely to you. You own it 100%.
Portfolio Rights: Unless you request a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to the start of the project, we reserve the right to display screenshots, links, and performance metrics of the completed website in our portfolio and marketing materials.
7. Limitation of Liability
We build robust, high-performance websites, but we cannot control the internet or third-party servers.
Framer Development Services is not liable for any lost profits, lost data, or business interruption resulting from your website going offline due to Framer server outages, third-party API failures (e.g., Stripe, HubSpot breaking), or user error after the site has been handed over.
Our maximum liability to you under any circumstance will never exceed the total amount you paid us for the specific project in question.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate the project agreement at any time with written notice.
If you choose to terminate the project before it is finished, we will retain the 50% upfront deposit to cover the labor and time already invested by our team. If we choose to terminate the project due to unforeseen circumstances on our end, we will refund you proportionally for any work not delivered.
